Premier Series Recap: Ferox Recap

The return to Ferox did not disappoint!

Ferox Ninja Park, led by the one and only Zach Eichenstein, once again provided the Premier Series with two awesome courses. Complete with tight time limits, little ledges, and bodacious buzzers, this weekend had it all. Let’s take a look at how our 12 winners of the Ferox Premier Series worked their way to the top!

The Sweeps

Taking the top spot on both the Placement and Challenge Courses is no easy feat, as only the best competitors are invited to the Premier Series. Despite the tall order, six athletes managed to achieve just that. Those were Taya Kelley (Kids Female), Alfio Charon (Mature Kids Male),  Meghan Moore (Mature Kids Female), Malone Canter (Preteen Female), Kerin Gorman (Teen Female), and Daniella Blanchard (Amateur Female).

The uber-grippy 5th obstacle UFOs, But Limits ended up costing athletes a lot of time, but all of the winners listed above were able to break through this crux point to secure the win. Moore was the only winner who both swept the competition and cleared the Challenge Course, while the other five winners won both courses with buzzers on the Placement Course and deep runs into the Challenge Course.

Ninja King-Of-The-Hill

With so much talent in so many divisions, the fight for the top spot can be very competitive! With a powerful run to the final obstacle of the Challenge Course, Liam Diggins took home the win in the Amateur Male division. Joining him in qualifying for Finals is Brody Messier, who earned redemption at Ferox after missing out on qualifying at Stamford by one spot.

Elite Male athletes Noah Meunier and Jackson Erdos were the only two to clear the Challenge Course in their division. Erdos, who won both the World Championship and the Stamford Premier Series Qualifier, was one second faster than Meunier, granting him his second win of the season.

Joining Erdos at the top of the Elite podium was Elite Female winner Addy Herman, who went back and forth with Corinne Capriotti, who was first on the Placement Course and second on the Challenge Course. Joining Herman and Capriotti in Finals will be Hannah Grella and Talia Gewirtz.

In the Preteen Male division, Gavin Sheils clutched up a win by becoming the only Challenge Course finisher in his division. Meanwhile, Kids Male winner Greyson Balzotti bounced back from 4th place on the Placement Course by racing to the 7th obstacle on the Challenge Course and winning off of time.

Finally, with 2 buzzers under his belt, reigning World Champion Nathanael Honvou locked in the win in the Teen Male division after finishing 2nd on the Challenge Course to Graham Ogden. Nicolas Jacob was the second of two Challenge Course finishers, ending his weekend with a runner-up campaign to the buzzer.
