Age Divisions
Tier 1 and Premier Series offer athletes a layer of choice regarding their competitive division. Athletes competing in these tiers may choose to challenge themselves in more competitive divisions. Athletes competing in either of those tiers have the following choices:
– Athletes 12 and under can request to compete in one age division above their current age division by emailing info@worldninjaleague.org. However, it’s important to note that athletes competing up a division will not be allowed to request a height check. This rule ensures course design is appropriate for that age division.
– Athletes 13 and older may choose to compete in the Elite Division, which is intended for the best athletes in the sport.
– Athletes over 40 can choose to compete in the Adult (+18) or Elite division.
While Tier 1 and Premier Series provide additional choices, Tier 2 competitions do not allow athletes to choose divisions, with one exception.
– Athletes over 40 can choose to compete in the Adult Division (+18)
Additionally, there are a few competitive divisions exclusive to higher Tiers of competitions.
– Elite Division is only in Tier 1 and Premier Series competitions.
– Amateur Division is only available at Premier Series competitions and replaces Young Adult, Adult and Masters Divisions.
